RVP NAMES HIS BEST ARSENAL PLAYERS

Dutchman Robin Van Persie (RVP) has named the top two players that he shared the dressing room with during his Arsenal days. Robin Van Persie was an Arsenal player for almost a decade before he made a controversial move to rivals Manchester United in 2012.


The Red Devils paid £24m to sign the ex-Dutch international striker from Arsenal. The Gunners had to let him leave as he had one year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium as at the time of his move to the Theatre of Dreams. Robin Van Persiewas in his native Holland before Arsenal swooped for him in 2004 and he would go on to spend eight years at the club.

While he was at Arsenal, Robin Van Persie played with some of the best players in the world and he has selected his top two. According to him, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry are the top two players that he shared the Arsenal dressing room with when the 37-year-old was asked to mention his most talented teammates. He was asked about his most teammates while he was doing his punditry job with BBC Sports.
Robin Van Persie has decided to venture into the world of media since he retired from football last year. The former Dutch international player signed for Turkish giants Fenerbahce upon leaving Manchester United in 2015 and he was in Turkey for three years before he returned to where it all started for him at Feyenoord. Robin Van Persie spent one season at Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisiebefore announcing his decision to end his playing career. When asked about the best teammates that he played with, Robin Van Persie didn't mention the Arsenal duo of Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry alone as he also mentioned Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney who all played for Manchester United.
